Crunchy Garlic Chicken Subs with Creamy Sesame Coleslaw and Tomato Chilli Jam

What you will need

  • 4 Canon Foods Crunchy Garlic Chicken Burgers
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying  
  • 1 large baguette cut into quarters  
  • ½ cup tomato chilli jam
  • 2 spring onions finely sliced  

Creamy Sesame Coleslaw

  • 1/2 pack coleslaw
  • ¼ cup Japanese roasted sesame seed dressing
  • 1 small bunch chives finely chopped
  • 12 cherry tomatoes roughly chopped

Roasted Sesame Mayo

  • ½ cup good quality mayo
  • 2 tbsp Japanese roasted sesame seed dressing

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the sesame mayo in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients for the coleslaw in a medium bowl and just before assembling fold through the sesame mayo until evenly coated.
  3. Fry the chicken burgers in a large fry pan in olive oil until golden on both sides and thoroughly heated through. Alternatively bake on a lined tray for 10 mins in a hot oven.
  4. Cut the baguette in half and cut into quarters.
  5. To assemble smear a generous amount of sesame mayo onto each piece of baguette. Top with the chicken burger, a large dollop of tomato chilli jam, spring onions then coleslaw.
  6. Serve with a side of potato chips.
